What reward do you get when you fight with everyone, get drunk, befriend hookers that dont smell nice only of cigerettes? Any guess anyone? Peanuts! But no ordinary peanuts but 2 Bags of Airline peanuts!!! Well its reward that Ed Helms (The Hangover) gets in the new trailer for CEDAR RAPIDS the new indie comedy from Youth Of Revolt helmer Miguel Arteta starring John C Reilly, Anne Heche ,Sigourney Weaver, Alia Shawkat, Rob Corddryand Isiah Whitlock Jr.
Helms plays your nerdy Insurance broker in what you could call a ‘rites of passage’ to the insurance conference in Cedar rapids, iowa USA. Unsure of the surroundings he comes under the ‘guidance’ of conference vets Reilly, Heche and Whitlock, the gang want party hard but Helms just wants sherry but things dont go that way for long. If you enjoyed Youth In Revolt, Cyrus, Hot Tub Time Machine do expect same type of humour in this one. I do really like Reilly’s R2 D2 Impression as well Whitlock Jnr’s The Wire joke and even though Helms goes under the watchful eye of the conference vets they are just as hopeless as he is so expect lots of whacky goings on!
No word exactly when this movie will be released in 2011 but the movie will premiere at next months Sundance Festival which im sure have the film distributors fight over who will release it.
