Anchor Bay have just posted online the offical trailer for the upcoming creepy thriller AFTER.LIFE which stars Christina Ricci, Liam Neeson and Justin Long.

I have heard about this movie for a while now when I did my research for coming soon page away back as early as last summer and Empire actually advertised this movie to be released January time but as you know these days never take a release date for granted.

This movie is about a woman(Ricci) who wakes up after an freak car crash on the slab of a funeral parlour been prepared for her burial. She is convinced she is not dead and struggle to fight for her life but there is only one many who does know she’s not dead thats the funeral director ( Neeson). It sound a very unique dark movie, interesting movie type of life/afterlife you could say its a little like the Lovely Bones scenario but this time the main character is trying to survive rather than catch the killer who killed her.

What I do like about this movie and seems to be the overall opinion of many websites thats Liam Neeson whose character does look composed, hypnotic but damn right creepy. I’m still a little unsure about this maybe after a few screenings of the trailer I may come around to it. Dont have a UK/Irish date yet but the movie will get an limited release in USA from April 9th.

IMDB synopsis:After a horrific car accident, Anna (Christina Ricci) wakes up to find the local funeral director Eliot Deacon (Liam Neeson) preparing her body for her funeral. Confused, terrified, and feeling still very much alive, Anna doesnt believe shes dead, despite the funeral director’s reassurances that she is merely in transition to the afterlife. Eliot convinces her he has the ability to communicate with the dead and is the only one who can help her. Trapped inside the funeral home, with nobody to turn to except Eliot, Anna is forced to face her deepest fears and accept her own death. But Anna’s grief-stricken boyfriend Paul (Justin Long) still can’t shake the nagging suspicion that Eliot isnt what he appears to be. As the funeral nears, Paul gets closer to unlocking the disturbing truth, but it could be too late; Anna may have already begun to cross over to the other side
