How to Train Your Dragon Trailer 1

How to train your dragon

Here’s the first full trailer for Dreamworks How To Train Your Dragon. There had been 2 short teasers which basically just promoted the title really and the fact the movie is coming from the creators of Shrek and Kung Fu Panda so it was nice to eventually see a full trailer.

The previous teasers and posters havent inspired me much and I even let the last trailer pass me by. This movie does have Chris Sanders and Dean Deblois (Lilio & Stitch) which has made me tread with caution with this one especially with Dreamworks previous movies a little bit up and down in qaulity. I am still on the borderline with this one especially when it comes to the longetivity of the movie, even with the movie to be 3-D may not help it.

This is a comedy adventure set in the mythical world of burly Vikings and wild dragons, based on the book by Cressida Cowell. The story centers around a Viking teenager named Hiccup, who lives on the island of Berk, where fighting dragons is a way of life. The teen’s smarts and offbeat sense of humor don’t sit too well with his tribe or its chief… who just happens to be Hiccup’s father. However, when Hiccup is included in Dragon Training with the other Viking teens, he sees his chance to prove he has what it takes to be a fighter. But when he encounters (and ultimately befriends) an injured dragon, his world is flipped upside down, and what started out as Hiccup’s one shot to prove himself turns into an opportunity to set a new course for the future of the entire tribe.

Jay Baruchel will voice Hicup and will be joined by Gerard Butler, America Ferrara (Ugly Betty), Craig Ferguson, Kristin Wiig and Jonah Hill. The movie will be out in a UK/Irish cinema by March 31st 2010.
