The trailer for the fantasy/comedy family movie Percy Jackson & Olympians: The Lightning Thief is online.
The story is about A young boy discovers he’s the descendant of a Greek god and sets out on an adventure to settle an on-going battle between the gods. Based on the book by Rick Riordan and is one of many other books which will probably see there way onto the big screen in the near future. Looking arounf the movie websites some sights have even labelled this as the new Harry Potter, maybe so with Harry nearing his final battle with voldemot.
Trailer for Oscar Wilde’s classic novel Dorian Gray is now online. Dorian gray is the story of A corrupt young man somehow keeps his youthful beauty eternally, but a special painting gradually reveals his inner ugliness to all.
Dorian Gray will be played by Ben Barnes (Prince Cspian in Narnia movies), Colin Firth as Lord Henry Wotton and Emilia Fox as his wife Lady Victoria.
The movie has been directed by Oliver Parker and writtrn for the screen by Toby Finaly. The film is been released by the ealing studios. There hasn’t been much publicity of this film, I heard it was to be made but I assumed 2010 release time, but UK release date will be 9th Spetember 2009, there has been no release date confirmed for USA yet. This does look a very good movie and thats coming from someone who isnt keen on period drama/movies.

The first teaser trailer of the never ending Saw franchise is online now. Film 6 will have all the thrills, spills, bloods and guts you expect from the movies with Jigsaw playing his sadistic games on his many victims. Hoffman played by Costas Mandylor has emerged as the person to continue Jigsaw’s legacy and as his former employers the FBI’s get closer to him he is forced to set the game in motion.
Tobin Bell(Jigsaw/John), Shawnee Smith are both in the movies again and the 6th installment is directed by Kevin Greutert
The film release date I cant find for UK but I expected around Halloween time as thats the US release date. This franchise does go on forever, its cheesy but its fun as well.
First trailer for Ninja Assassin has been posted online. It stars Korean actor Rain as Raizo who is one of the deadliest assassins in the world. Taken from the streets as a child, he was transformed into a trained killer by the Ozunu Clan, a secret society whose very existence is considered a myth. But haunted by the merciless execution of his friend by the Clan, Raizo breaks free from them and vanishes. Now he waits, preparing to exact his revenge.
The film also stars British actress Naomie Harris (28 Days Later, Miami Vice, Pirates of The Carribbean) as Mika a Europol agent in Berlin investigating political murders connected to Ozunu Clan and she defies her superiors orders Ryan played by Ben Miles only to be hunted by Takeshi Rick Yune a deadly assassin. Its only a matter of time Mika and Raizo meet and get involved in a cat and mouse chase.
The Film is directed by James McTeigue and written by Matthew Sand and Changeling writer J.Michael Straczynski. Film will be released by Warner Bros Studios.

The first trailer for Tim Burton’s version of Disney’s classic story Alice In wonderland has just been recently released. Visionary director brings his gothic splendour to this classic fairytale, whilst the original kept to a sweet and delightful storyline expect all the darkness, madness and fun you’ll expect from a Burton animation/movie. This will be a mixture of 3D/live action/animation.
The story still follows the basis of Alice following the rabbit down into hole into wonderland, but she visited 10 years before, now she’s 17 and no recollection of her first visit. Alice will be reunited with all her old friends and enemies and what a cast this film has!!!
Alice will be played by Mia Wasikowska , Helena Bonham Carter (Red Queen), Alan Rickman (Caterpillar), Anne Hathaway (White Queen), Michael Sheen (The White Rabbit), Stephen Fry (Cheshire Cat), Timothy Spall (Bloodhound), Christopher Lee (The Jaberwock), Noah Taylor (The March Hare), Little Britian’s Matt Lucas (Tweedledee/Tweedledum) and we cant the forget Tim Burton’s main man Johnny Depp (The Madhatter) a role Johnny was destined to do. He just so perfect to play those mad crazy and at times scary parts.
This looks like itll be a cracker and its always good to see a classical story get a fresh update and even with a darker edge to it. There’s a long time before this film will hit the big screens as release dat in UK is 12 MARCH 2010.
