Karl Urban Is The Law! Great Shot of Urban as JUDGE DREDD

 In the era of so many remakes, there does come a time when you’re glad to see a movie remade and DREDD is one of them. After the dreadful Stallone version of the 1990’s this movie has been crying out for another chance to prove Dredd is a worthy addition to the ever increasing comic book sub genre. Being from Scotland as well as a massive reader of the comic when I was younger in the 1980’s, I believe that the world’s favourite anti-hero does deserve a chance. Fingers crossed Dredd will keep his helmet on. If read the comics you’ll know that Mega City’s lawman rarely revealed his face and with Karl  Urban as the Judge (he has said himself he is a fan), he doesn’t plan to show face.

We’ve not seen much on this movie, no footage just yet and it seems it is still scheduled for a December UK. There’s no American release date so don’t be surprised if we have to wait until that has been sorted.

Judge Dredd is The Law and Here is his Lawmaster Bike!!!

Currently filming in South Africa is the remake of JUDGE DREDD starring Karl Urban as futuristic lawman. Thankfully we know Joe Dredd will not take his helmet off and the writers are trying to be as faithfull to the comicbook as possible. A few weeks ago we got a glimpse of Urban in his uniform with helmet and recent ly a leaked image giving us first impression of the Judges bike the lawmaster and looking at the image the bike does look a bit weird, its early days so lets hope the bike is only a prototype design!       source Bleeding Cool

2010 bits

Whilst researching my next post (be on online hopefully  next 24 hours), I was browsing throught the movie magazines and 2010 there alot of interesting  (if not excellent) film projects on the way.

I was disappointed with the first film and havent seen Prince caspian but next year Voyage of the Dawn Treader which is regarded as the best of the bunch as its set on the sea and the films heros will be up against dwarves, merfolf and lost warriors as they edge closer to the edge of the world, unfortunately December 4th is when well be able to see it on the big screen.
