It’s A Life of Riley if your a THE HOBBIT fan as Peter Jackson just can’t stop treating you all to some exciting goodies from the production. We’ve recently met all the dwarves from the movie, seen some images of Bilbo along with 2 great video production diaries and now you can add a third video diary.
Via the directors Facebook page we get to see more footage from the movies first 3 blocks, meeting the cast & crew who give their thoughts on the first 3/4 months of shooting as well some great footage of Martin Freeman, Andy serkis too in Gollums cave. There is also some of the original cast on hand giving fans a chance to feel a little nostalgic as we meet Ian McKellan, Hugo Weaving, Cate Blanchett and Sir Christopher Lee who finishes the video of with a great line. The actual filming has stopped for break before it re commences in September but you’ll notice from the start of the video Peter Jackson is wondering around Pinewood Studio’s which suggests some of the next shooting will be taking place here in the UK!
Comic-Con kicks off today and fans are disappointed New Line Cinema wont be at the convention promoting the movie, but you’ll understand as the filming is only in the early stages there isn’t really any type of great footage that could be shown. But for Comic-Con 2012 that will be a different situation as the first movie will probably be in post production/re-shoots before THE HOBBIT:AN UNEXPECTED JOURNEY gets released December 14th 2012! Here’s what Peter Jackson said on the matter:
“New Line and Warner Bros were very happy to support a presentation, but I declined, simply because I felt it was too early. There’s so much more of the films still to shoot. I just wanted to get that out there, because I’ve seen various references to the possibility of something Hobbity at Comic Con. Hate to disappoint anyone. But something tells me we will be there in force next year.”
THE HOBBIT:AN UNEXPECTED JOURNEY will be with us 14th December 2012 with the final part coming 13th December 2013 with THE HOBBIT:THERE AND BACK AGAIN.
