Ill be the first to hold my guilty hands up, I’ve been very critical of CAPTAIN AMERICA:FIRST AVENGER not towards the upcoming film but the character as a whole, a character that created during the bleaks times of World War 2. Captain America was a propaganda tool for America but this was a era when every country involved in wars got their mucky paws into the propaganda machine but its 21st century wars are still around and we must move on. I am actually looking forward to this, in the 1980’s the American comicbooks still had that ‘pop art’ feel to design and I did actually read a few Captain America comics so it was curiosity that got me interested in the new movie. Will they go for the camp feel or will they go for a more darker gritty war tale? We know now its the latter and with such a popular character its really hard to pinpoint down what part of the characters history should they go for and in Captain America’s case it had to be his early day simply because he’s never had a proper film which has really dug into the origins but we do now!
You’ll see from the posts head I called it Goodies galore and its certainly that as we have several new film clips for the movie (that appeared online over the weekend), 7 new tv spots!!! That’s not all before the end of the night we will have some new cool posters to show off in another post so stay tuned!!!

Born during the Great Depression, Steve Rogers grew up a frail youth in a poor family. Horrified by the newsreel footage of the Nazis in Europe, Rogers was inspired to enlist in the army. However, because of his frailty and sickness, he was rejected. Overhearing the boy’s earnest plea, General Chester Phillips offered Rogers the opportunity to take part in a special experiment… Operation: Rebirth. After weeks of tests, Rogers was at last administered the Super-Solider Serum and bombarded by “vita-rays.” Steve Rogers emerged from the treatment with a body as perfect as a body can be and still be human. Rogers was then put through an intensive physical and tactical training program. Three months later, he was given his first assignment as Captain America. Armed with his indestructible shield and battle savvy, Captain America has continued his war against evil both as a sentinel of liberty and as leader of the Avengers.
