The First (UK) Teaser Trailer For Disney’s JOHN CARTER(Of Mars)

I need to get out more as it has happened again, my email account is overloading with goodies which i’ll share with you over the next few hours. First up is this cracker: the official first teaser trailer for JOHN CARTER (of Mars). If you’re one of the lucky souls to nab yourselves a ticket, either for tonight’s midnight screenings of Harry Potter or over the weekend you will have a chance to watch this trailer along with Sherlock Holmes:A Game Of Shadows and The Dark Knight Rises, if you’re one of those people who seem to dodge the previews you may think twice now about going to see Harry Potter!

This teaser trailer just simply intrigues as well as confuses, it’s beautifully shot and layered with some fantastic special effects, but you feel at times what is this movie about? We’ll give them the benefit of the doubt for now as it’s early days and knowing Disney they will reveal nearer the time. You do get a feeling of Cowboys & Aliens, Immortals, Greystroke and even a little Harry Potter; it’s certainly a weird hybrid of movies, but overall what we do see is a good old fashioned adventure movie!

This first trailer really focuses on Taylor Kitsch who plays John Carter , the rest of the cast includes, Lynn Collins, Samantha Morton, Mark Strong, Ciaran Hinds, Dominic West, James Purefoy, Daryl Sabara, Polly Walker, Bryan Cranston, with Thomas Haden Church and Willem Dafoe. JOHN CARTER will be released in UK&Ireland 9th March 2012.

A big thanks to Disney For sending us the new trailer.

From Academy Award®–winning filmmaker Andrew Stanton comes “John Carter”—a sweeping action-adventure set on the mysterious and exotic planet of Barsoom (Mars). “John Carter” is based on a classic novel by Edgar Rice Burroughs, whose highly imaginative adventures served as inspiration for many filmmakers, both past and present. The film tells the story of war-weary, former military captain John Carter (Taylor Kitsch), who is inexplicably transported to Mars where he becomes reluctantly embroiled in a conflict of epic proportions amongst the inhabitants of the planet, including Tars Tarkas (Willem Dafoe) and the captivating Princess Dejah Thoris (Lynn Collins). In a world on the brink of collapse, Carter rediscovers his humanity when he realizes that the survival of Barsoom and its people rests in his hands.
