The First CONAN THE BARBARIAN TV Spot Arrives Online

The first tv spot for Marcus Nispel’s CONAN THE BARBARIAN has appeared online. As normal the tv spots are usually the first signs that we’re getting closer to the release date and its been a hard slog for the movie to convince this movie carbon copy of Arnie’s original slobber knocker. I’ve slowly been converting and Marcus Nispel looks like he has freshened up the movie for 21st century though on evidence of this spot the acting looks a little to cheesy and that could be its downfall, it’s been hard for Jason Momoa to convince people of his ability in his first feature movie after a career which has been in tv however a certain Sky Atlantic drama Game Of Thrones has helped his cause too.

What this new tv spot does gives us a little more insight into the movies plot as well as tons of new footage along with more looks at the movies special effects, will it be worth it to see in 3D? I doubt it as  majority of 3d movies have really been 2.5 D deceiving the movie viewer, will it be worth to see in glorious 2D? I think so especially if your looking for that popcorn munching no brainer flick.

CONAN THE BARBARIAN will be released in Glorious 2d and Unglorious 3D from August 24th(USA August 19th), the movie stars Jason Momoa, Stephen Lang, Said Taghmaoui, Rachel Nichols, Ron Perlman, Rose McGowan, Leo Howard, Bob Sapp.

Conan is a young Cimmerian man cast adrift in the world by the brutal murder of his father and the destruction of his village. Driven by the need to avenge himself upon the evil Khalar Zym, Conan learns to steal, seduce, and fight his way to his goals. He soon discovers, however, that there are greater things at stake than his own personal quest: an unearthly malevolence stalks the world, and it may be up to Conan himself to save Hyboria from ruin.
