When it comes to religion I have the upmost respect for people believe in a faith but I never criticise anyone for having that faith but I hate it when someone with a faith trying to stuff there views down your throat. So when movies make a mockery of religion or at least the right wing conservative ‘Christians’ who think there the chosen ones and have the right criticise you , you know I will enjoy your movie . SALVATION BOULEVARD is one of those movies that makes a mockery of religion which stars Pierce Bronson a pastor, Greg Kinnear as the ‘troubled soul’ whose killed a man. The movie looks like KISS KISS BANG converted to religion, it looks crazy stuff but looking at the reviews of the movie so far its been getting a mixed reviews, probably why this has appeared from nowhere.
The movie does boast a decent cast which includes Jennifer Connelly, Marisa Tomei, Ed Harris, Isabelle Fuhrman and Jim Gaffigan. No word on a UK/Irish date, for USA IFC Films are releasing this on July 15th.
Set in the world of mega-churches in which a former Deadhead-turned-born again-Christian finds himself on the run from fundamentalist members of his mega-church who will do anything to protect their pastor.
