Just as I was preparing the trailer for the next post this appears! It’s The First Trailer for THE MUPPETS Movie! Yeahhh! When this trailer starts you must be thinking “Are You Sure Its A Muppets Movie Trailer?” We are as it plays out as a fake movie called ‘Green With Envy’, it all makes sense when around the 50 second mark. If your American and you saw Pirates Of The Caribbean at the weekend this will be familar to you but everyone else its new and the way the trailer starts is fantastic making you think its GREEN WITH ENVY your watching. If your like me in your 30’s possibly early forties a staple part of your television diet when we were kids was a weekly dose of The Muppets so if you loved them anytime they arrive onscreen it brings on a nostalgic smile remembering the good old days, and before there was The Simpsons, Family guy the show all celebs wanted to be on was Jim Henson’s Muppet Show!
The human actors for this movie will be Jason Segel, Amy Adams, Chris Cooper, Rashida Jones, Zach Galifianakis and hundreds more. Unfortunately we have a long ridiculous wait for this here in UK & Ireland we have to wait until February 12th 2012 but for American fans the waiting is not as painful but November 23 rd.
On vacation in Los Angeles, Walter, the world’s biggest Muppet fan, and his friends Gary (Jason Segel) and Mary (Amy Adams) from Smalltown, USA, discover the nefarious plan of oilman Tex Richman (Chris Cooper) to raze the Muppet Theater and drill for the oil recently discovered beneath the Muppets’ former stomping grounds. To stage The Greatest Muppet Telethon Ever and raise the $10 million needed to save the theater, Walter, Mary and Gary help Kermit reunite the Muppets, who have all gone their separate ways: Fozzie now performs with a Reno casino house band called the Moopets, Miss Piggy is a plus-size fashion editor at Vogue Paris, Animal is in a Santa Barbara clinic for anger management, and Gonzo is a high-powered plumbing magnate.
