Boy Meets Girl, Boy Meets Boy, son reflect on relationship with father that is a very basic synopsis of indie Dramady  BEGINNERS which stars Ewan McGregor, Christopher Plummer and French star Melanie Laurent. McGregor plays Oliver  whose father (Plummer) after 75 years comes out the closest and admits he’s gay and the movie will actually play in the past tense as the son look back at his relationship with his deceased father the final years of his life and how his fathers new life brought them closer , there’s also a small matter of Anna(Melanie Laurent) who comes into Oliver’s life.

Beginners looks a charming  funny story that wil make you happy as well as sad at times and we can see the movie when its released in UK& Ireland on July 22nd, check out the 4 new short clips below from the movie.

From writer/director Mike Mills comes a comedy/drama about how deeply funny and transformative life can be, even at its most serious moments. -Beginners- imaginatively explores the hilarity, confusion, and surprises of love through the evolving consciousness of Oliver (Golden Globe Award nominee Ewan McGregor). Oliver meets the irreverent and unpredictable Anna (Melanie Laurent of Inglourious Basterds) only months after his father Hal (Academy Award nominee Christopher Plummer) has passed away. This new love floods Oliver with memories of his father who – following 44 years of marriage – came out of the closet at age 75 to live a full, energized, and wonderfully tumultuous gay life. The upheavals of Hal’s new honesty, by turns funny and moving, brought father and son closer than they’d ever been able to be.
