As promised last night, the official trailer for The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn has now arrived! So, what secrets does the Unicorn hold? Paramount/Columbia Pictures released the trailer via apple and it takes about 20-30 seconds for one to actually realise that it’s a CGI/ Motion Captured animation, and you may also notice The Secret Of The Unicorn isn’t actually in the title either; That reason may have something to do with Tin Tin books possibly not being as popular in USA as they are here in UK & Ireland. But with Steven Spielberg directing and Peter Jackson producing you can bet that this is guaranteed to do very well stateside, the UK may fair slightly better as Tin Tin books are more well known.
This movie is the start of a trilogy with the second and third installments coming out in 2012/2013 sequentially. Looking at the trailer it does look like this will be a movie of epic proportions! It is shaping up to be a big fun adventure movie and we are already anxious to see more footage, as this trailer is only a tease! This movie does mean business, just look at the cast of actors who voice the characters: Jamie Bell(Tin Tin), Andy Serkis(Captain Haddock), Daniel Craig(Red Rackham), Simon Pegg, Nick Frost, Gad Elmaleh, Toby Jones, Mackenzie Crook, Cary Elwes, Tony Curran, Daniel Mays.
There is one little thing I did notice,
Empire have released a UK trailer which is virtually the same, but there is the odd tidbit of different footage; Especially in the beginning and the actual music used. C heck out that trailerHERE (I’ll post it here when it becomes available).
The Adventures of Tin Tin (The Secret of The Unicorn) will be out in UK & Ireland, 26th October and in the US, December 23rd.
Vodpod videos no longer available.
