CANNES 2011:”EARTH IS EVIL!” – NEW CLIP, TV SPOT FOR MELANCHOLIA

If your wondering if good old Lars Von Trier was getting to soft when he said no more ‘Happy Endings’ forMELANCHOLIA it doesn’t look he has for his latest flick which will soon be shown to the world  at Cannes Film Festival. Looking at the footage below the only one whose given up is Kirsten Dunst who reminds us all in a clip from the movie “Earth is Evil” which shows on screen sisters played by Dunst and Lars Von Trier regular Charlotte Gaisbourg. MELANCHOLIA follows the 2 sisters as they deal with the news that the end of the world is nigh as usual a sombre occasion  for Von Trier, there is also a tv spot which was originally all I was going to post but now we have a clip.

Kirsten Dunst and Charlotte Gainsbourg, Kiefer Sutherland star together with Alexander Skarsgård,Charlotte Rampling<, John Hurt, Stellan Skarsgård, Udo Kier and Jesper ChristensenMelancholia will be released in UK&Ireland from Artifical Eye on September 30th not July 1st as first expected.

Artificial Eye will release Lars von Trier’s MELANCHOLIA on 30 September.   A beautiful movie about the end of the world,MELANCHOLIA is written and directed by von Trier and produced by Meta Louise Foldager and Louise Vesth for Zentropa Entertainments27.  MELANCHOLIA will receive its world premiere in competition at the Cannes International Film Festival next month.
