2011 and again 2012 are big big years in comic book movies with THOR out this weekend there is another coming out next friday 6th May, PRIEST. Alot of the movies the main character is usually known not always one of the big names but Priest is one of the unknown ones. The comic is a graphic novel on the Tokyopop label written and drawn by Korean artist Min-Woo Hyung and even to some comic book collectors the title may not be known to them as well. Below is an new extended featurette which delves into the movies source to try give you a better understanding of the story, it is a post apocalyptic tale in a world ravaged by wars between Priests & Vampires, to many it looks like a world fit for Judge Dredd who happens to be in this one too that’s the new Dredd Karl Urban!
I have also covered this as well but its worthy of another look a while back Sony gave 3 London based film students a chance recreate the movies trailer and 3 chosen 24 hours later found themselves on a plane flying to Los Angeles to present there version to the movies director Scott Stuart, president of Screen Gems and star of the movie Cam Gigandet. The winning film student was then giving a chance to gain some experience at the studios see how things work, check out how things went below too.
PRIEST will be out on May 6th and boasts a support cast of Paul Bettnay ,Karl Urban, Christopher Plummer, Cam Gigandet, Maggie Q, Lily Collins, Stephen Moyer and Brad Dourif.
A legendary Warrior Priest from the last Vampire War now lives in obscurity among the other downtrodden human inhabitants in walled-in dystopian cities ruled by the Church.
