2 weeks ago Dexter told us about the Beastie Boys short FIGHT FOR RIGHT which screened at this years Sundance Film Festival. Last night on American tv on MTV (censored) and Comedy Central (uncensored) the short premiered and today the movie went online in 3 parts. Unfortunately those videos arent working and whilst posting the 30 Minutes or less Joblo have released a shorter 22 minute uncensored version which you can check out below. The other missing part will make up a video called Make some noise which you can watch below as well (I dont think its working in UK&Ireland though copyright issues!).

The short will be released in full with the Beastie Boys new album ot Hot Sauce Committee Part Two which comes out May 3rd.

A big cast list in this which includes Seth Rogen, Elijah Wood and Danny McBride, Mike D., Adam Yauch and Adam Horovitz, Susan Sarandon, Stanley Tucci, Rainn Wilson, Rashida Jones, Will Arnett, Ted Danson, Roman Coppola, Amy Poehler, Alicia Silverstone, Steve Buscemi, Jody Hill, Jason Schwartzman, Kirsten Dunst, Maya Rudolph, Orlando Bloom, Will Ferrell, John C. Reilly, Jack Black, Martin Starr, David Cross, Chloe Sevigny, Laura Dern, Milo Ventimiglia, Adam Scott, Mike Mills, Shannyn Sossamon, and Mary Steenburgen.

Rogen, Wood and McBride are playing one version of the Beastie Boys and Will Ferrell, Jack Black and John C. Reilly play another.

25th April – As you’ll have noticed the version of the Beastie Boys short film was a cut version of the movie release but now thanks to the band themselves via their youtube page its the full 30 minutes!

Vodpod videos no longer available.
