Matthew Vaughn and Bryan Singer Already Tlking X-MEN: FIRST CLASS Sequels

When you start talking about sequels for a movie thats not been released you seem to get very skeptical about the actual qaulity of the unreleased flick as its either over confidence on the part of the film studio or simply a very risky gamble which could backfire if the original movie flops, Guy Ritchie’s Sherlock Holmes is recent example of the gamble but thankfully for them the gamble just paid off. Well in recent chat with TotalFilm Matthew Vaughn and Bryan Singer have revealed plans to create a sequel or sequels for th and inger has said they have looked e X-MEN but X-Men world is very expandable so no surprise there’s talk, here’s what they said:

First Class is similar to Batman Begins, where you have the fun of introducing the characters and getting to know them, but that takes time. But with the second one you can just get on with it and have a rollicking good time. That’s the main difference between Begins and The Dark Knight.

This looks the evidence is there, they will probably make not just a second movie but a third movie  and Bryan Singer has said they have looked at doing movies for the teams set in 1970’s as well as 1980’s, but vaughn has also said he would like another 1960’s mbased movies –

That’s an idea that’s been discussed. How the characters go through time. But only to a point – they can’t age too fast! 1962 is far more grounded in the world of the ’50s. I think it takes about five years for a decade to really start getting its identity, so the fun thing about this for me would be doing [a sequel] in the latter part of the decade, where you’ve got The Stones, The Beatles, Flower Power…

and even James McAvoy has his own thoughts on the possible sequels

In First Class [Xavier] uses Cerebro for the first time and maybe it unlocks something in his head – maybe he can’t keep the voices out or something. So in the secondmovie his journey could be about getting himself out of a mess. And then in the third movie he becomes… Patrick Stewart!

I’m not actually surprised theres talk of future movies and the thought of seeing the x-men through the decades is an interesting one, but like  the comicbook I would like to see  the actual line-up revolving  each movie keeping a bit of frshiness to the movie. If they did do the movie the team didnt change per movie slightly it could loose its appeal and would be like watching the same movie over and over but just in a different era. It seem Vaughn, Singer had fun doing this and probably the actors and with the recent Origins Wolverine movie be it a bad one or not we were under the assumption that other movies would be made showing the origins , so whats your thought guys on the x-men franchise?
