To coin aline from one of the stars of this movies previous movies “Mama Mia! Here We go again….” is a line possibly the movie critics as this Friday, 15th April Catherine Hardwicke’s RED RIDING HOOD when it is released in UK & Ireland.
The movie opened last month in USA and ripped to shreds in th reviews scoring 11% in Rotten Tomatoes which isn’t a good sign for the movie on the eve of its release probably the most most important movie market after USA/Canada. There could be several factors which could be anything from the fact the movie comes from the director of one of the most loathed movie franchises by critics (but loved religiously by its loyal book fanbase) Twilight Saga, Catherine Hardwicke or it just simply a bad movie. When your involved in a movie that critics love to rip apart the pressure is on your back right away for your next project even if that next movie is good it will probably get negative reviews which is a shame , second chances anyone?
Red Riding Hood Stars Amanda Seyfried in a fantasy romance whose character Valerie is torn between 2 men whom she is in love with a brooding outsider Peter (Shiloh Fernandez), but her parents have arranged for her to marry the wealthy Henry (Max Irons). Her sister is killed in the dark forest by a werewolf and with the appearance of the werewolf hunter (Gary Oldman) Valerie’s heart is torn that maybe one of those men she loves is the wolf!
To promote the movies release Warner Bros have sent us today 3 new clips which show the boys Peter and Henry fight over Valerie, the other clips show Valerie talk to her mother telling her the wolf spoke to her, next clip shows the wolf attacking a party and the wolf hunter tells the vollagers the wolf lives here. I think this movie will be one adored by Twilight fans or at least fans of the similar age group but sadly will get ripped by the rest even if this movie is decent.
