Mashup stories seem to be the in thing for movie studios with Cowboys Vs Aliens, Hansel & Gretel becoming Witch Hunters and even great American Presidents in the form of Abraham Lincon kicking some Vampire ass, there’s even a possiblity of a Bronte sisters literture classic becoming Pride and Prejudice and Zombies! Thanks to Sony we can now add Robots VS Zombies!
Robots Vs. Zombies is a IDW Comic book which is to be based on a script called Inherit the Earth written by JT Petty (Burrowers) “on a young girl who is the last survivor on earth. She is protected by a group of robots from a pack of zombies that are intelligent and evolved.” It makes you wonder if the game Dead Island could have something to do with this but reality is this is a quick $$$$ from the film studio but there is a nasty catch here.The catch is who will be creating it, its Michael Bay’s Platinum Dunes the company that brought some delightfully crap horror remakes such as Nightmare on Elm Street and Friday 13th, though I didnt mind there Texas Chainsaw Massacre though!
Im sure some of you must have been wetting yourselves in excitement about this comic coming another adaptation to the big screen, its a quick buck for the film studio but do you trust Platinum Dunes to deliver us something decent to watch?If you dont beleive this may not be a $$$ rather than a qaulity fun project there is already a sequel to the comic book called Zombies vs Robots vs Amazons! so we can sayif this gets off the ground doexpect a few more movies to follow!
