9th February, London: The 83rd Annual Academy Awards® ceremony will be broadcast live and in stunning high definition on February 27th 2011 by Sky, as the UK’s exclusive broadcaster of the event for the seventh consecutive year.
Sky Movies presenter and film critic Alex Zane will anchor the UK’s coverage of the event, which begins with Oscars® Red Carpet Live 2011 from 11.30pm on Sky Living/HD and Sky Movies Premiere/HD before The 83rd Annual Academy Awards from 1.30am on Sky Movies Premiere/HD. Alex will be joined in Sky’s London studio by a panel of celebrity guests and experts who will reveal their predictions and provide comment on the evening’s winners, frocks and shocks.
Televised live from the Kodak Theatre in LA, this year’s ceremony will be hosted by James Franco and Anne Hathaway and with The King’s Speech securing a sensational 12 Oscar nominations, it looks set to be a very exciting evening for British film.
