Watch The Offical Trailer For Robert Redford’s THE CONSPIRATOR

Via Yahoo Movies Lionsgate/Roadside Attractions have released the offical trailer for Robert Redford’s THE CONSPIRATOR. In the week Sundance Festival opening up it is a great time to promote the founder of the festival’s new directoral project, a movie which stars Robin Wright, James McAvoy, Justin Long, Evan Rachel Wood, Tom Wilkinson, Alexis Bledel, Johnny Simmons, Toby Kebbell, Kevin Kline and Danny Huston. The movie did make its world premiere back in Toronto last September but only a few clips were released but now the movie is ready to start its offical promotion we now have a trailer..

The movie is about Mary Surratt one of the people accused as a co-cospirator in the Abraham Lincon assination with Robin Wright playing Surratt with James MacAvoy playing her lawyer. I love movies of historical value but not ones that over do it in patriotism or even show a imbalance in a story but this does look like a good movie.So whens it out?

In the wake of Abraham Lincoln’s assassination, seven men and one woman are arrested and charged with conspiring to kill the President, Vice-President, and Secretary of State. The lone woman charged, Mary Surratt (Wright), 42, owns a boarding house where John Wilkes Booth and others met and planned the simultaneous attacks. Against the ominous back-drop of post-Civil War Washington, newly-minted lawyer, Frederick Aiken (McAvoy), a 28-year-old Union war-hero, reluctantly agrees to defend Surratt before a military tribunal. Aiken realizes his client may be innocent and that she is being used as bait and hostage in order to capture the only conspirator to have escaped a massive manhunt: her own son, John (Simmons).
