After what I would call a mediocre year especially on the blockbusters in 2010, very little of the so called big movies really made any major impact they where expected to have, so many movies look forward to a far more impressive year and 2011 is only weeks old and already the improvement has been there. Already we’ve had 127 Hours, The Kings Speech, Blue Valentine and this friday the much antcipated Darren Aronofsky‘s BLACK SWAN a pyschological dark thriller starring Natalie Portman who picked up last night the Best actress role for her part in the movie at the Golden Globes.
I really loved The Wrestler which I watched recently again it just seems to get better every time you watch it and so when the news of Aronofsky’s Black Swan Ive been like a child lost in a toy shop. To celebrate the movies upcoming British/Irish release Fox Pictures have sent me these 2 awesome clips from the movie.
A psychological thriller set in the world of New York City ballet, BLACK SWAN stars Natalie Portman as Nina, a featured dancer who finds herself locked in a web of competitive intrigue with a new rival at the company (Mila Kunis). A Fox Searchlight Pictures release by visionary director Darren Aronofsky (THE WRESTLER), BLACK SWAN takes a thrilling and at times terrifying journey through the psyche of a young ballerina whose starring role as the duplicitous swan queen turns out to be a part for which she becomes frighteningly perfect.
