UK Trailer For Disney’s SECRETARIAT

You dont get many horse racing movies these days with Sea Biscuit probably the last decent one to grace our big screens and it now looks like another will pass the finishing line with Disneys SECRETARIAT.Secretariat stars Diane Lane, John Malkovich, James Cromwell and scott Glenn in a inspirational story about the journey of the horse named Scretariat in his triple crown winning season of 1973 against all odds in a time when female horse trainers weren’t really heard off.I’m not a big horse racing fan but I can see the potential the movie has to do well and to add spice to the movie it’s a cert it’ll be in the final hurdle for nominations for the next Oscars too.

Secretariat will be out in UK & Ireland  on December 3rd.

Official Synopsis: Based on the remarkable true story, “Secretariat” chronicles the spectacular journey of the 1973 Triple Crown winner. Housewife and mother Penny Chenery (Diane Lane) agrees to take over her ailing father’s Virginia-based Meadow Stables, despite her lack of horse-racing knowledge. Against all odds, Chenery – with the help of veteran trainer Lucien Laurin (John Malkovich) – manages to navigate the male-dominated business, ultimately fostering the first Triple Crown winner in 25 years and what may be the greatest racehorse of all time. Starring – Diane Lane, John Malkovich, Dylan Walsh, James Cromwell, Kevin Connolly, Nelsan Ellis, Dylan Baker.
