Coen Brother’s TRUE GRIT Gets it’s First Trailer

If there’s one set of Brother’s in the film industry people always like to check out thats The Coen Brother’s and for the past year we’ve known there next assemble is to be a new adaptation of the classic John Wayne movie TRUE GRIT and thanks to Apple below is the first trailer.

It may not be as quirky or funny as there previous works but the whole set up of this trailer is typical Coen Brothers, think No Country For Old Men as a western movie, epic and beautifully shot. I’ve never been a fan of John Wayne and to that matter Westerns but the cinematography for this is brilliant, beautiful adn what other reason to I need to see this? Well it has the Dude in in it, Jeff Bridges eyepatch and all playing the the role of Rooster Cogburn with Matt Damon, Josh Brolin, Barry Pepper and Hailee Stansfield.

This will be a nominee in next years Oscars, its a cert, a winner? maybe maybe not! True Grit will be out in the UK & Ireland on January 14th 2011 with USA getting it on Christmas Day December 25th.

Synopsis:Fourteen-year-old Mattie Ross’s (Hailee Steinfeld) father has been shot in cold blood by the coward Tom Chaney (Josh Brolin), and she is determined to bring him to justice. Enlisting the help of a trigger-happy, drunken U.S. Marshal, Rooster Cogburn (Jeff Bridges), she sets out with him — over his objections — to hunt down Chaney. Her father’s blood demands that she pursue the criminal into Indian territory and find him before a Texas Ranger named LeBoeuf (Matt Damon) catches him and brings him back to Texas for the murder of another man.
