Frightfest 2010: Trailer For REDHILL

The American Trailer for Australian thriller REDHILL has been debuted online by Sony. The movie stars True Blood star Ryan Kwanten who is also known by many in UK also as Vinny from the Aussie soap Home & Away, the movie also starsClaire van der Boom, Steve Bisley, Tom E. Lewis and Christopher David with Patrick Hughes directing.

I posted the teaser trailer for this months ago on my other blog Cinehouse as it prepared for its world premiere at Berlin Film Festival and since then it has done its rounds of the festivals including Edinburgh which left with some excellent reviews. This Friday night (27th) the movie is once again back in UK and will be playing at the London Film4  Frightfest.

From What Ive seen there is elements of Assualt on Precint 13 but set in the outback in one of the many little towns outthere. I dont have an UK date apart from Momentum Pictures is releasing the movie but the movie is out December in Australia.

Stressed out police officer Shane Cooper (Kwanten) relocates to the dusty farming village of Red Hill with his pregnant wife, Alice, to start a family. But when news of a prison break sends the local law enforcement officers into a panic, Shane’s first day on duty rapidly turns into a nightmare. For Jimmy Conway, a convicted murderer serving life imprisonment busts out of jail and heads to the sleepy settlement seeking bloody revenge. Caught in the middle of the terrifying confrontation, Shane is forced to take the law into his own hands in order to survive
