September 17th sees the release in UK & Ireland of WINTER’S BONE a drama thriller starring Jennifer Lawrence who we will see next summer in X-Men:First Class as Mystique.
The movie might be unknown to many fo British and Irish movie fans but since its debut at this year’s Sundance Film Festival which it won the Grand jury prize the buzz for this flick has been immense that talk has started on this movie been a contender at next years Oscar awards especially for lead role for newcomer Jennifer Lawrence.
Winter’s Bone is about 17 year old Rey Dolie lives in the heart of middle America in the Ozark Mountains a very poor part of the country as well very detached from the outside world. She has to raise her 2 sibling borther & sister herself whilst looking after her mentally ill mother and she is forced to leave when he here’s the truth about her missing father with the bailbond the family’s house.
Very bleak peice of film which protray rural mountian life through a dark gritty noir story, and the movie played at this years Edinburgh Festival which received some rave reviews again.Below is an a look at the UK poster for the movie which come exclusively from Empire and I had a check around for a UK trailer as the movie is been released by Artifical-Eye there isnt one but bleow also is the American Trailer and if UK one appears ill update this page if theres any difference.
