TIFF 2010: Barney’s Version Trailer

sourceTrailerAddict

The first trailer for BARNEY’S VERSION has appeared online in time to promote its inclusion in the Toronto Film Festival.

The movie is based on the 1998 Mordecai Richler best selling book which has been directed by Richard J. Lewis (CSI) starring Paul Giamatti, Dustin Hoffman, Minnie Driver, Bruce Greenwood, Rachelle Lefevre and Rosamund Pike.

Looking at this trailer it looks like the pairing of Paul Giamatti & Dustin Hoffman looks to be a match made in heaven the pair look witty, banterfull as well biterful. Its also nice to see Minnie Driver back on the big screen after a few years on our small screens (see her tonight in BBC’s drama The Deep with James Nesbitt).

From producer Robert Lantos, Barney’s Version is a film based on Mordecai Richler’s prize-winning comic novel. Barney Panofsky (Paul Giamatti) is a seemingly ordinary man who lives an extraordinary life. Barney‟s candid confessional spans four decades and two continents, and includes three wives (Rosamund Pike, Minnie Driver and Rachelle Lefevre), one outrageous father (Dustin Hoffman) and a charmingly dissolute best friend (Scott Speedman).TIFF
