Will The Riddler Be in Batman 3? Will it Be Joseph Gordon-Levitt? Movie to be shot in IMAX?

Christopher Nolan’s Inception is finally here and now the general public are enjoying his heist action movie (review today or tomorrow, sorry you know how slow i am at reviews!!!)the shift is now back to Batman 3 or Batman 7 whatever way you look at it! The talk is who’ll be in it, who will the bad guy be, name of of the movie, etc… So today has been a very busy day on the old gossip trail on whats going on with Nolan’s next antcipated project.

So lets start at what we know is virtually confirmed the shooting for the movie is due to start around the April/Spring time 2011 aiming for its July 2012 release date. Our first port of call will be the epicentre of all the talk today FirstShowing who have today brought some juicty gossip which they say is a ‘reliable source within the cast grid’  and according to this grid The Riddler is looking near confirmed as the villan for the movie with Joesph Gordon-Levitt to play the villan (as reported last month) and he is very interested!

I’m not surprised about this as many directors and actor are regular collabrators on movies (caine, murphy on Nolan movies, Di Caprio on Scorsese and Mortensen on Cronenberg  flicks) and recently Gordon-Levitt dished out some praise on the director

“the genuine article… a real artist”

so its just the matter of time before everything is offical. Some may see this as a major step for a such as ‘newbie’ but Nolan likes to work with people he knows well and Heath  Ledger  was in similar situation as Gordon -Levitt, Known name in acting looking to take even bigger steps upwards and we can say things went well for him (but obiviously off screen was different). According to First Showing’s report Gordon-Levitt’s age may not get him into consideration for the part as the grid states the actor must be between the age of 35 to 45 and he is 29  but like anything things can be modified and even though he’s short of the age limit he could easily get away with someone closer to 35 if he ends up been the actor .

So how do you feel about Joseph Gordon Levitt been the Riddler? Should there be someone else? If yes who woud you pick as the role? or should there be another villan if yes who? leave the comment below.

HeyUguys have reported a story from MTV that Wally Pfiester the director of photography of The Dark Knight that this new Batman movie maybe shot entirely in IMAX. Its been on the rumour mill for a while now but Pfiester’s recent chat with MTV is making the rumour becoming a reality but comparing it with The Dark Knight only a portion of the movie was in IMAX, so this will be a major step for the movie but nothing will be concrete until he reads the script.

“it would certainly be my preferred, amazing goal to shoot the whole movie in IMAX,”

“I must say I’m a huge IMAX fan. I like IMAX more than I like 3-D,” he explained. “Chris’ films are so densely layered and have so much going on visually in every way that IMAX helps enhance that because of the scope and the scale of it — it becomes a much larger canvas to paint on. That’s what we found on ‘Dark Knight.”

Batman franchise has lots of action and in order to use IMAX Cameras there cant be alot of running about simply due to it been pyschically impossible due to the weight and size of the camera. But if they do go ahead and shoot entirely in IMAX it would be amazing cinematography but it all depends entirely on the script but after inception Nolan has left himself an even bigger platform to challange and if he does with Batman 3 well the world is his oyster!!!!
