source FirstShowing

Harry Potter franchise is now a wrap and the stars are now moving onto pastures new, so we’ve heard about Tom Felton joined The Rise Of The Apes movie, Rupert Grint has appeared in the odd UK or two, nothing really on Emma Watson so what about Daniel Radcliffe? Deadline / Variety are confirming his next project will be Hammer Films gothic thriller Woman In Black, based on the novel Woman in black:Ghost Story by Susan Hill. Mrs Jonathan Ross aka Kick-Ass writer Jane Goldman will be writing the script  with Eden Lake director James Watkins been behind the lens for this movie.

Daniel Radcliffe’s character will be called Arthur Kipps a young lawyer who is ordered to a remote part of blighty to tend to a desceased clients paperwork. Whilst there he starts to uncover the ghostly secrets of the clients house as well as the nearby local village this sounds the makings of a old school hamer story!!!

It’s so good to see Hammer Films making a comeback and we will see alot of them in the next few years with Let Me In and The Resident (Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Christopher Lee and Hilary Swank). They are a horror movie insitution, they are the company behind alot of the classic horrors and there actors with Vincent Price, Peter Cushing and Christopher lee especially. Woman in Black  will be kept  essentially gothic and if Variety is true what there saying they will keep the 3D aspect out of this and thankfully so!!! Filming is been targeted for a autumn shooting and many will be keeping there eyes peeled on this as Daniel Radcliffe makes his first steps outside the wizadary world of Harry Potter
