Focus Features have just sneaked a second shorter trailer for Anton Corbjin’s THE AMERICAN starring George Clooney.

The movie sees Clooney a Hitman who is on a final assignment in Italy, throw in a femme fatale things start to go wrong for him and now people are chasing him. In this trailer there is alot of shooting and for a hitman who wants to retire maybe just a bit too much or unless he wants to go out in a blaze of glory, the action does look very intense, engaging and George Clooney is George Clooney cool, swarve and sosphisticated, we ll he has be been the only known actor in it!

The movie has been directed by Dutch director Anton Corbjin whose only other feature was Control visually is a fantastic director whom has made more of a name been a music director, so visuals are very important to him. The movie was written by 28 Weeks Later Scribe Rowan Joffe and is based on the Martin Booth Novel A Very Private Gentleman (which was the movie original title).

The American doesnt yet have a release date for UK or Ireland but its schedule for release Stateside September 1st.
