It did and still is doing the rounds if the film festival network but here is the offical first trailer for SPLICE. When the movie was doing the rounds it didn’t have an studio willing to buy it but now Warner Bros have bought the rights and a release date has been set as well.
The movie is an science fiction ethical horror which stars Adrien Brody and Sarah Polley with Vincenzo Natali who directed the fantastic ‘original saw’ movie CUBE and he was helped by none other than Guillermo Del Toro but only on an exectutive level only.The movie did make its UK premiere at the FirightFest @ Glasgow Film Festival Weekend and played along with Amer, [REC]2 on the same bill!!! It has received alot of positive feedback whereever its played and now its time to see it offically.
Believe it or not UK & Ireland will see it before USA on April 28th with American horror fans having to wait until June 4th.
Synopsis:Elsa(Polley) and Clive(Brody), two young rebellious scientists, defy legal and ethical boundaries and forge ahead with a dangerous experiment: splicing together human and animal DNA to create a new organism. Named “Dren”, the creature rapidly develops from a deformed female infant into a beautiful but dangerous winged human-chimera, who forges a bond with both of her creators …only to have that bond turn deadly.
