According to Latino Review’s “reliable” source at Millenium Pictures, for the upcoming Conan The Barbarian remake they have got there man to play villian Khalar Singh. They state that Avatar bad boy Stephen Lang has been offered the part to play the badboy in Marcus Nispel’s adaptation.
The cast breakdown came out in October 2009 and states that Khalar Singh is a man either in his 40’s or 50’s of Asian, Persian, Mongol or Turkish origins. A man with a commanding in Stature & manner, a formidable warlord warrior who has thought many battles, tanned and aged. A brilliant but cruel driven soldier determined to find Queen of Acheron and built a empire to achieve his goal. Khalar himself wants to bring life to Acheron demonic minions becoming king of there hell in preperation of the onslaught from the powerful sorceror Atoth-Amon. When Singh and his mercernaries ride into Cimmeron village to recruit his old comerade Corin, he refuses to join his minions thus slaughtering the villages in return there was only one survivor that is a young boy called Conan. When Singh finally finds the Queen in a all female monk monastery, he learns of an older Conan hungary for revenge.
Like an gossip until we here it from the horses mouth nothing can be taken for granted and if it is true the idea of Lang playing Singh must only be at the negotiating stage. Everyone at The Peoples Movies thinks Stephen would be a great baddy once again!!!
