This Friday in the U.K and Ireland INVICTUS will be released in the cinemas. The movie sees Morgan Freeman as Nelson Mandela and Matt Damon as Francis Pienaar the South African Rugby captain who inspired his country to win the 1995 World Cup. The win was during Nelson Mandela’s first term in office and South Africa was still a fragile country that was torn apart during apartheid and the movie shows Mandela’s attempt to re-unite his country through rugby catalyse in rebuilding.
Thanks to HeyUGuys who were invited to the press conference for the European launch of the movie at a plush London hotel. I was was recently invited to an international film festival press launch but its great been abel to say Ive been the same room as Matt Damon & Morgan Freeman! but go one better in the same room with Clint Eastwood (the movies director) as Clint would would have said “Make My Day (punk)!”So enjoy the conference in its about 43 minutes long, sound is a little muffled at the start but things get better .
