YES its a day earlier but today Thursday 17th December was the day James Cameron mega blockbuster came to UK and Ireland!!! The big one is here!
So what we got this week? Some blue aliens that humas think are in kanas, musical shenagains in Italy, a bromance is blossoming and a crap all schoolgirl nonsense. So I dont really think I had to do this as its been obivious for majority of 2009 when 17th December comes the movie of the week would be Avatar! It’s the most expensive and probably the longest movie ever to be made, so from today and for the rest tomorrow (18th) you will have a chance to be judge and jury. I dont think I really need to say anything more on this flick as its really time now to watch and let James Cameron be judged.
Like any over hyped movie its always nice to have an decent alternative and that one looks like NINE by Rob Marshall who brought us Chicago, so you know you have a man directing who knows what hes talking about and can easily visualise a westend/broadway musical on a big screen. There’s a superb cast, style, and a very lucky Daniel Day Lewis who appears with so many sexy hot ladies!!! For a more indie flick you wouldn’t go wrong with Humpaday a bromance story as for St.Trinians 2 I’d rather take a dump and than watch that crap, if you pardon the punt.
So if your off to see AVATAR or simply want a sing song with Nine please come back and tell us your views of the movies. Send your views to thepeoplesmovies@gmail.com
enjoy the movies!!!

The story of a wounded ex-marine, thrust unwillingly into an effort to settle and exploit an exotic planet rich in bio-diversity, who eventually crosses over to lead the indigenous race in a battle for survival.
Vodpod videos no longer available.Guido Contini is a fifty-year old film director drowning under the weight of pleasing the many women in his life whilst not really knowing what the movie he’s currently making is about. With a cast, a crew, a mistress, a muse and a wife, not to mention the press who are following his every move, all asking questions of him that he’s unable to answer, Guido retreats into the world of imagination, fantasy and memory in the hope he can work out his love life and his film – both of which are spiralling dangerously out of control.
