Here is an new extended trailer for George clooney’s UP IN THE AIR. This trailer was shown on US TV during MAD MEN drama finale over the weekend and so it’ll be new to everyone in UK and Ireland.

This has got many critics going crazy about personally its not my cup of tea, too slow but that doesnt mean to say this wont be a good movie. This is a movie of more about what they say, so alot of quirky, funny remarks, a need to keep your ears more. I would say if you really want to see this movie, it might not be great to watch the trailers as they are full of spoilers galore and may spoil your enjoyment of this. This is the type of movie the Oscars love slow, quirky, smart and intelligent movie, not overly possesive in movement but big in dialogue, so expect nonimations.

Up In The air will be with us in UK and Ireland on 15th January 2010.

Ryan Bingham’s job is to fire people from theirs. The anguish, hostility, and despair of his “clients” has left him falsely compassionate, living out of a suitcase, and loving every second of it. When his boss hires arrogant young Natalie, she develops a method of video conferencing that will allow termination without ever leaving the office – essentially threatening the existence Ryan so cherishes. Determined to show the naive girl the error of her logic, Ryan takes her on one of his cross country firing expeditions, but as she starts to realize the disheartening realities of her profession, he begins to see the downfalls to his way of life. 1. A wake up film to people who distance themselves from other people and make up for it with material possessions of the sort.
It had some good moments in it, not sure if it’s Oscar, but like you said they love these type of movies at the Oscars.
Looks like a romantic comedy, but ends up more of a life re-evaluation type film.
