ShareThe Trailer for Edge of Darkness has arrived at TPM HQ. This is another BBC mini series which has made it to hollywood (Russell Crowe in State of Play was the other) and looking at the trailer this looks like its going to be another good movie.
Martin Campbell created the orginal and the hollywood version looks like its kept gritty, errie conspiracy feel to it. The movie centre’s around Thomas Craven a vetren cop played By Mel Gibson whose grown up daughter Emma (Bojana Novakovic) is murdered on his doorstep.Whilst investigating his daughter’s death he unearths her secret life of coperate cover-ups and government collusions.
This looks like Mel Gibson is returning back to what he good at acting rather focusing on his personal life and beliefs, its about time big man!Edge of Darkness also stars Danny Huston, Ray Winstone, Frank Grillo and Shawn Roberts as the greiving boyfriend. Movie is out in UK/Ireland February 19th 2010 (USA January 29th 2010).
