December 11th The remake of the 1987 Slasher/Horror movie The Stepfather will be released in U.K and Ireland.

This is another one of the many movies that Hollywood/movie world seem to be following remakes if not a reboot, some are of the new ones are great the rest are just pathetic. The Horror genre seems to be the most popular for remakes/re-boots these days and 1980’s horror flicks been the most popular to be remade so its no surprise The Stepfather was remade.

The 2009 version basically does follow same storyline about a young man called Michael who returns from Military school to find his mother with a new boyfriend and as they try to get along with each other Michael gets very suspicious of mum’s new male friend.

Thanks to Trailer Addict here is a number of interviews with the crew and cast of the movie: Penn Badgley (Michael), Sela Ward, Jon Tenney, Dylan Walsh (who plays Stepdaddy a change from his Mr Niceguy in NipTuck), Amber Head (zombieland). Director Neal McCormack, Producers Mark Morgan, Greg Mooradian and Writer JS Cardone.
