The new second offical Trailer for THE BOOK OF ELI has been posted online in the past hour. You have to go away back to July since the first teaser trailer hit the internet and it seems everything was forgotten about it until today.
The movie has Denzil Washington, Gary Oldman, Michael Gambon, Mila Kunis and Tom Waits and its a gritty western style movie set in a post-apocalyptic America around a lone warrior called Eli (Washington) who has a book a book which is the key to rebuilding society bring order back to the lands. Carnegie (Oldman) is a nasty boss/despot of one of the makeshift towns and is determined to get his hands on the book Eli posses.
The movie is directed by Allen Hughes and his brother Albert who also brought us From Hell and Dead Presidents with the screenplay written by new boy Gary Whitta who is to write Akira and has written up coming The Defenders movie. I have to say I really liked the first trailer and this trailer has got me even more pysched about this movie, it just looks good stuff.
The movie will be in UK/Irish cinemas January 15th 2010, a nice little movie to start the new year with!
