Here’s a new section Im going to do its called NEWS BITES and this is where ill scrounge the internet and bring news bites from some of the best movie news/posts I can find. I wont be able to bring all the stories but ill at least give you a little preview and the source of the story as well. BRIEF PREACHER MOVIE UPDATE
During the 1990’s I was an American comic book freak every weekend I bought my weekly doze of superhero fandom at the comicbook shop in Glasgow and during the mid-1990’s I searched for something different and found DC-Vertogo’s PREACHER when I heard it going to be a movie I was estatic! A few Years have passed and nothing has been heard of it until recently. The Comic book has alot of controversial issues in it no more than a sex-mad priest who becomes a host for a evil demon called Genesis and hunts down god after he abandonded heaven. Rev Jesse Custer is joined by Tulip O’hare and alcoholic irish vampire Cassidy but I loved good ol Arseface. Lots of touchy subjects in this and would still make a great movie.(empires guide to preacher).
Sam Mendes stated in a recent empire interview “It’s getting closer,” says Mendes. “I’ve seen a script and it’s very good. We’re a little further down the road than when I last spoke to you.” in screen rant he also said ;
“Oh, he wouldn’t do the entire series in one movie. It would be impossible to do all nine volumes in one movie, that would be one long movie, and it wouldn’t do justice of it. It will not attempt to do all of it, but there’s so much wonderful stuff that I wouldn’t know what to leave out.” – Preacher is an 66 issue comic book which I actually own all and if mendes was to attempt to fit all the issues into one movie, lets just say it would much longer than Lord of the rings movies!!!

JOSH HARTNETT IS A GUNSLINGER
Josh Hartnett will be playing a gunslinger in a futuristic in a post-apocalyptic western directed by Chris Nahon the man who brought us Blood the last vampire, according to Variety magazine. The plot is your straight forward revenge story of 2 brothers out to catch and kill the gang that killed their parents.
I have to say last night I watched Lucky Number Slevein and recently Sin City and I was very impressed (though I was drooling a little at sexy lucy lui) and I think he’ll do a decent job with this flick. As in who he’ll be playing only time will tell, shooting for the movie is in Canada and starts next year. –
DEL TORO JOINS FORCES WITH DISNEY, ARRGGHH!!
Guillermo Del Toro has joined forces with Disney to create a production label called Double Dare You which will produce films, animations, books and other line a merchandise with a scary theme to them all. We all know Del Toro can deliver plenty of Brown Trouser moments but now he must hail the great mickey mouse and remembering the family values.

PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN 4 HAS A NAME NOW
Hold onto your knickers girls and Captain Jack Sparrow will be on our big screens in summer of 2011 with Pirates of The Caribbean 4. Just recently annouced at the D23 Disney big event in Arnhem USA that the movie is going to be called “on stranger tides”
Other Disney bits expect a 3rd National Treasure movie and another Muppets flick as well!
DC ENTERTAINMENT GETS VERTIGO
The last few weeks in the comic book world have been quite eventful with Disney buying Marvel Comics and Warner Bros buying into DC Comics to create DC ENTERTAINMENT. MTV annouced today that DC Entertainment has got there house in order and got Vertigo, DC-Comics Adult comic line.
Vertigo titles have hit our cinemas before with the likes of Swamp thing and constantine (aka Hellblazer), though not all titles may go to cinema some may go to television. .

Gerard Butler, America Ferrara (Ugly Betty), Craig Ferguson and Kristen Wiig are few of the actor who lend there voices to this animation, Movie out March 31st 2010 in UK.
CHRISTOPH WALTZ, A GREEN HORNET BAD GUY?
After his excellent performance as Han Landa in the basterds is christoph Waltz in line to be a bad guy in the now delayed Green Hornet? According to Deadline.com Sony have lined up Christoph waltz to play Chudofsky and Variety magazine had described the role as an “intimidating gangster….who tangles with the Green Hornet.” You have to say Christoph is an perfect and more convincing replacement for the departing Nicholas Cage and its great that actors in there early fifties can still get the big breaks into Hollywood.
