Lionsgate have posted online the trailer for THE WINNING SEASON a movie directed by James Strouse starring Sam Rockwell, Rob Corddry and Emma Roberts.
The movie is about Bill (rockwell) who is a former Basketball coach who is given a chance of redemption by taking over a loval all girls high school basketball team which is falling apart.
The movie played at Sundance 2008 where Lionsgate picked this up but disappeared under the radar despite having decent reviews at the festival. For a indie movie does have more of a commerical movie feel but dont let that put you off this does look okay and as usual Sam Rockwell is good as he usually is, just a shame this could be a movie that people may let go pass unoticed then probably say do you remember that movie that sosos was in then realise its been and gone in the cinemas.
There is no word yet on a UK & Irish Release date yet but the movie will get a limited release Stateside on September 3rd.
